Hallo, ich bin Ben Luca Behring und wohne in Grevesmühlen in Deutschland. Mein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Backend-Entwicklung mit Rust und Python, DevOps und Linux-Administration.
Infrastruktur und DevOps
Ich arbeite hauptsächlich mit Linux-basierten Systemen und betreibe die Infrastruktur rund um Anwendungen und interne Dienste.
Dazu gehören unter anderem Docker, Git, Git-Server, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Virtualisierung und Firewalls/Netzwerktechnik. Ich richte Deployments und Automatisierungen ein, betreibe Server und Container und kümmere mich um die technische Umgebung, in der Anwendungen laufen.
Weiterhin bin ich versiert im betreiben von Monitoring- und SIEM-Systemen und nutze diese auch innerhalb bestehender Infrastrukturen.
Backend
In der Entwicklung arbeite ich hauptsächlich mit Rust und Python.
Mit Rust entwickle ich Backend-Anwendungen, Tools und systemnahe Software. Python nutze ich für Backend-Logik, Automatisierung und AI-Anwendungen.
Mit JavaScript und React habe ich ebenfalls gearbeitet, mein Fokus liegt aber klar auf dem Backend.
Erfahrung
Ich habe unter anderem Linux-Infrastrukturen für öffentliche Institutionen betreut und an digitalen Verwaltungsprozessen für das Wirtschaftsportal NRW gearbeitet.
Dabei habe ich sowohl an Software als auch an der dazugehörigen Infrastruktur gearbeitet, von Servern und Netzwerken bis zu Deployments und Automatisierung.
Aktuell
Ich bin Gründer und CTO von Skalvar Technologies und arbeite dort an Cybersecurity- und IT-Sicherheitslösungen.
Parallel bin ich offen für eine nebenberufliche Rolle oder projektbasierte Zusammenarbeit in den Bereichen Rust, Python, Backend, DevOps und Linux-Administration.
Sonst so
In meinem Homelab beschäftige ich mich viel mit Linux, Virtualisierung, Netzwerken und eigenen Softwareprojekten.
Dazu kommen 3D-Druck, kleine Rust-Tools, Gym und Laufen. Meinen ersten Halbmarathon habe ich mittlerweile ebenfalls absolviert.

Infrastructure and DevOps
I work primarily with Linux-based systems and manage the infrastructure for applications and internal services.
This includes, among other things, Docker, Git, Git servers, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, virtualization and firewalls/networking. I set up deployments and automations, manage servers and containers, and take care of the technical environment in which applications run.
Furthermore, I am well-versed in operating monitoring and SIEM systems and also use them within existing infrastructures.
Backend
In my development work, I primarily use Rust and Python.
I use Rust to develop backend applications, tools, and system-level software. I use Python for backend logic, automation, and AI applications.
I have also worked with JavaScript and React, but my focus is clearly on the backend.
Experience
Among other things, I have managed Linux infrastructures for public institutions and worked on digital administrative processes for the NRW Business Portal.
In these roles, I worked on both the software and the associated infrastructure, ranging from servers and networks to deployments and automation.
Current
I am the founder and CTO of Skalvar Technologies, where I work on cybersecurity and IT security solutions.
At the same time, I’m open to part-time roles or project-based collaborations in the areas of Rust, Python, backend, DevOps, and Linux administration.
Other Interests
In my home lab, I spend a lot of time working with Linux, virtualization, networking, and my own software projects.
I also enjoy 3D printing, creating small Rust tools, going to the gym, and running. I've even completed my first half-marathon.
